Jr. Welterweight Prospect Nicholas Irizarry

This Saturday from the UCF Arena in Orlando, FL Jr. Welterweight prospect Nicholas Irizarry will face 12-fight veteran Anthony Overby in an Undisputed Promotions event. ESPN2 News is high on the 23-year old southpaw Irizarry, 1-0, 1 KO’s, who is a smooth technician with a blue-chip trainer. Irizarry’s trainer Milton LaCroix, founder of Supreme Team Boxing was the head trainer of celebrity Logan Paul for both of his fights against KSI despite Shannon Briggs being recognized as Paul’s trainer. The only thing the circus clown Briggs’s provided was his “Let’s Go Champ” mantra without any useful boxing information for Logan Paul, along with “The Cannon’s” usual brand of shameless self promotion. LaCroix is the brain behind the YouTube celebrity Paul’s transition into a competent professional in less than 18 months.

The Miami, FL slickster Irizarry could be the next phenom molded by the shrewd and fast talking New York coach. Boxing’s hottest contender 21-year old Teofimo Lopez, 14-0, 11 KO’s, is a product of LaCroix who trained Lopez for his first 70 amateur bouts. Quietly it was also LaCroix who brought Shannon Briggs from obscurity to the world championship in 2006 with a win over W.B.O. champion Siarhei Liakhovich.

Teofimo Lopez vs Richard Commey Odds have Lopez -120 at BOVADA

What you can expect from the Florida Golden Glove 152 Lb. champion Irizarry is trademark Supreme Team Boxing skills that LaCroix instills. The southpaw specialist LaCroix produces quality boxers that fire jabs off the hip with movement, rhythm and a high volume of long hooks. Undisputed Promotions will also feature an exciting undercard worthy of the price of admission. The fights will start at 7pm ET with tickets available at www.ticketmaster.com
