M & R Boxing returns tonight with prospect filled card from the Manuel Airtime Theater in Miami, FL. Doors open at 7 pm ET with tickets starting at $75. The top prospect featured on the card will be 20-year-old Cuban sensation Idalberto Umara, 4-1, 2 KOs against veteran southpaw Genaro Mendez, 13-4-1. 7 KO’s, in a 10-round lightweight bout. 

 28-year-old lightweight prospect Iron Alvarez, 16-1, 10 KO’s will try to rebound from the first loss of his career against unbeaten Christian Tapia, 14-0 when he faces 41-year-old trail horse Deivi Julio, 23-11, 15 KOs in an 8-rounder. 

 In a battle of unbeaten welterweight prospects Julian Smith, 5-0, 4 KO’s, will face rangy Cuban Reynel Mederos, 5-0, 1 KO, in a 6-rounder. Smith, 31, was a 2018 Nationals semi-finalist and is coming off a stoppage win over  

Welterweight up and comer Tayre Jones 6-0, 4 KO’s and his booming right hand will also be on the undercard against sacrificial lamb Christian Danilo Guido, 8-22, 4 KO’s in a don’t blink affair. 

Big 6’3” 200 Lb. Cuban Cruiserweight Carlos Romero, 5-0, 4 KO’s, will try extend his 4-fight knockout streak against Brazilian Rafael Desouza.
