ESPN2 News Expert NFL Picks on 2016 NFL Futures

1. New England Patriots

Tom Brady is likely suspended for the first four games but Jimmy Garoppolo is a capable backup. Questions on the offensive line and in the backfield but still be a dominant offensively. Defense loses All-Pro Chandler Jones but should be near last year’s top-10 caliber. Kicker Stephen Gostowski is true weapon on special teams.

2. Buffalo Bills

Dominant running game and mini Cam Newton quarterback Tyrod Taylor should bring home a runner up finish. Bullish offensive line will beat up lesser foes in the trenches. Good coverage in the back end should help Rex Ryan’s blitz heavy defense after a disappointing inaugural season.

3. Miami Dolphins

New regime will go through some growing pains with limited talent. QB Ryan Tannehill has proved to be a middle of the road type and a defense that can’t stop the run is highly vulnerable. Wide receiver Jarvis Landry is a top-5 wideout. Defensive line could be dominant with Mario Williams joining Ndamukong Suh.

4. New York Jets

Looks like marginal NFL QB Geno Smith will take back the reigns under which should translate into a last place finish. Solid defense will keep them competitive along with All-Pro WR Brandon Marshall.
