Jai Opetai vs Brandon Glanton Predictions

Jai Opetai vs Brandon Glanton for the IBF cruiserweight title will feature the bloodthirsty champion Opetai against the top-20 contender Glanton. Jai Opetai vs Brandon Glanton Fight Odds have Opetai -2000 with 52% of boxing predictions on Glanton +950. ESPN2 News is high on the Aussie Opetai, 29-0, 23 KO’s, ranking him #12 on our pound-for-pound rankings.

Boxing Predictions: Expect the former 2016 U.S. National Golden Gloves Tournament quarterfinalist Glanton, 21-3, 18 KO’s, to get outclassed and stopped by the uber-aggressive southpaw puncher Opetai. Glanton, 30, has a stout chin against B-level competition in pro ranks but was stopped twice in the amateurs when he stepped up to the A-level. The 6’3” Opetai goes for the knockout early, and the tough but outgunned 6’0” Glanton, who will do more than just try to survive.

The Georgian is durable and heavily muscled, but the diverse offensive weaponry of Opetai, 30, will be too much for the taggable Glanton to handle. Laying Opetai via knockout is listed at -140, but the fight not to go the distance is the sharper play here at -150. Glanton has plenty of heart, chin, and strength to make things interesting against Opetai, who can be caught when loading up on punches. The hard-charging southpaw Opetai is susceptible to swelling and could also cause a collision against the rugged right-hander.
