ESPN2 News Boxing Results Analysis: Alvarado took a vintage Juan Manuel right-hand bomb to the chops in the 8th that sent “Mile High” Mike flying through the ropes. The Colorado warrior gamely beat the count and came back with payback on his mind entering round 9. Alvarado bounced back from his 8th round knockdown to drop “Dinamita” on his backside  with a searing right-cross in the 9th frame. Marquez, 40, looks to a 5th payday against Manny Pacquiao in a fight that our Boxing News experts would peg Pacquiao as a -250 favorite. Alavardo, 33, has dropped 3 out of his last 4 but is still one of the most exciting fighters in the game. A possible rubber match with slugger Brandon Rios, 31-2-1, 23 KO’s, could still happen in a bout that ESPN2 News would list Alvarado as a -160 favorite.
