As we round the quarter pole of the 2016 NFL season teams start to realize if they are Super Bowl contenders or pretenders. San Francisco lost their leader and best player in All-Pro linebacker Navarro Bowman which comes just in time to restore Arizona’s aerial attack under capable backup Drew Stanton who replaces jittery Carson Palmer. Arizona’s defense shows up in primetime in an important divisional game against fringe 49ers QB Blaine Gabbert.

Falcons vs Broncos (-5.5)

The value of a good QB is worth it’s value in gold in today’s high flying NFL and Falcons QB Matt Ryan is one of the best. Broncos rookie QB Trevor Siemian has proven himself to be a capable starter but has benefited from some breaks going his way. Should come down to the wire with one of the NFL’s best offenses in Atlanta covering in a good weather game.

Titans vs Dolphins (-3)

Miami faced murderers row against three 2015 playoff teams to open the season but are not as bad as advertised. Miami’s dominant defensive line will create turnovers against a limited Titans offense that relies on young QB Marcus Mariota who has a paltry 73.9 passer rating.

New York vs Pittsburgh (-7.5)

One of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL in Jets signal-caller Ryan Fitzpatrick facing a leaky Steelers secondary could have a good game but it won’t be enough. The Steelers are one of the best teams in the NFL and will flex their muscles against a team in the abyss.
